Course Offerings

• Competent Person Training - Excavation Program (Virtual or On-Site): For personnel in need of Competent Person Training related to the OSHA Subpart P Excavation Standard, Trench Safety Training's CPT course is designed to cover all three mandated areas in depth:  General Requirements, Appendix A, and Protective Systems.  All phases of the standard are taught with real-life examples from the Instructor's 40 years of experience. This class will last approximately 7 hours, including breaks, lunch, and testing. A laminated completion card and a professional reference manual will be presented to each person attending. For organizations with 10 or more individuals needing OSHA Mandated Competent Person Training, Trench Safety Training's On-site CPT course is consistently the most effective and cost effective training available.
  
  
• Construction Confined Space Training (Virtual or On-Site): This 4 - 5 hour program specifically addresses the principles of permit required confined space standard as mandated in OSHA 1926.1201, Construction Confined Space. Additionally, regulations related to your specific State are also incorporated when applicable. Special emphasis is given to participants to assist you in properly identifying confined spaces.  A laminated completion card and a professional reference manual will be presented to each person attending, and continuing education credit is often available. For organizations with 5 or more individuals needing OSHA Confined Space Awareness Training, Trench Safety Training's On-site CSAT course is consistently the most effective and cost effective training available.
  
  
• OSHA 10 Hour Training Program (On-Site): This program, tailored for field personnel in the construction industry, focuses primarily on hazard awareness training. This class completely fulfills OSHA's requirements for OSHA 10 Hour training. By OSHA mandate, this is a two day program with a minimum of 3 attendees. For organizations with 5 or more individuals needing OSHA 10 Hour Training, Trench Safety Training's On-site OSHA 10 Hour course is consistently the most effective and cost effective training available.

• OSHA 30 Hour Training Program (On-Site): This training, focusing primarily on hazard abatement, is tailored for construction supervisors and foreman and those you may at a future date wish to promote to management responsibilities. This class completely fulfills OSHA's requirements for OSHA 30 Hour training. It includes all mandated OSHA traning modules, and 12 hours of electives to cover your company's specialized training needs. By OSHA mandate, this is a four day program with a minimum of 3 attendees. For organizations with 5 or more individuals needing OSHA 30 Hour Training, Trench Safety Training's On-site OSHA 30 Hour course is consistently the most effective and cost effective training available.
  

• Excavation Awareness Training Program (Virtual or On-Site): Suitable for orientation training and general awareness of hazards common to excavation and trenching. A four hour program, it includes abatement options for hazards discussed. Ideal for municipal street and water departments, firefighters, municipal inspectors, insurance risk personnel, and employees of excavation contractors. This training is essential for personnel who need orientation, safety policy training or refresher training.
  
  
• Train the Trainer - Excavation Competent Person Training (On-Site):
  Shoring rental companies and heavy construction equipment distributors need to provide Competent Person Training to their customers. But who trains these trainers? Trench Safety Training will come to you to provide on-site training for your account representatives and customer service representatives on your schedule. Our Competent Person Training - Train the Trainer Program covers the OSHA Subpart P Excavation Standard, and is covers all three mandated areas in depth:  General Requirements, Appendix A, and Protective Systems.  All phases of the standard are taught with real-life examples from the Instructor's 40 years of experience working with utility contractors, unions and government agencies nationwide. In addition we emphasize training presentation skills with practice presentations and peer feedback. Tab Data is reviewed along with inspection processes, selecting the proper protective equipment and solving problems. This class takes 4 days to complete. A certificate of completion suitable for framing, a professional reference manual, and other training materials will be given to each person attending the training.
